Day 1Arrival in Leh

Arrive in Leh, the capital of Ladakh, and transfer to your hotel. Spend the day acclimatizing to the high altitude, as Leh is situated at over 11,000 feet above sea level. Take it easy with a gentle walk around the local market or visit a nearby monastery, such as Shanti Stupa, for panoramic views of the town and surrounding mountains. Enjoy a relaxed dinner at your hotel and rest to adjust to the altitude.

Day 2Leh - Local Sightseeing

After breakfast, begin your exploration with a visit to Leh Palace, an ancient royal residence offering splendid views of the town. Next, visit the Tsemo Castle and its ancient murals. Proceed to the nearby monasteries, including the Namgyal Tsemo Monastery and the monastery at Hemis, known for its vibrant festivals and rich history. Return to Leh in the evening for a leisurely dinner and rest.

Day 3Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La

Embark on a scenic drive to Nubra Valley, passing through the Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable passes in the world. Enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys along the way. Arrive in Nubra Valley, known for its sand dunes and unique landscapes. Visit the Diskit Monastery to see the impressive statue of Maitreya Buddha and enjoy a camel ride in the Hunder sand dunes. Stay overnight in Nubra Valley at a comfortable camp or hotel. 

Day 4Nubra Valley - Turtuk and Return to Leh

 After breakfast, drive to Turtuk, a picturesque village on the India-Pakistan border, known for its beautiful landscapes and rich Balti culture. Explore the village, its traditional houses, and the local market. Return to Nubra Valley for lunch and then drive back to Leh. Enjoy a relaxing evening at your hotel and prepare for the next day’s adventure. 

Day 5Leh to Pangong Lake

Travel to Pangong Lake, a stunning high-altitude lake straddling the India-China border. The drive takes you through picturesque landscapes, including the Chang La Pass, one of the highest passes in the world. Arrive at Pangong Lake and marvel at its crystal-clear blue waters and surrounding mountain scenery. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the lake, exploring its shores, and capturing stunning photographs. Stay overnight in a camp or resort near the lake. 

Day 6Pangong Lake to Leh

After breakfast, enjoy a peaceful morning by Pangong Lake before driving back to Leh. Take the same scenic route via Chang La Pass. Once back in Leh, relax and rest at your hotel. You might want to explore local markets or enjoy a leisurely evening at a café or restaurant.

Day 7Leh to Tso Moriri

Travel to Tso Moriri, another high-altitude lake located in the Changthang Plateau. The drive takes you through remote and rugged landscapes, offering spectacular views of mountains and valleys. Arrive at Tso Moriri and enjoy the serene beauty of the lake, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and vast plains. Spend the night in a camp or guesthouse near the lake, experiencing the tranquility of this remote area.

Day 8Tso Moriri - Local Exploration

Spend the day exploring the Tso Moriri area. Visit the nearby Korzok Monastery and interact with the local nomadic communities. Enjoy the natural beauty of the lake and its surroundings, including opportunities for bird watching and photography. Return to your accommodation for a relaxing evening.

Day 9Tso Moriri to Leh

Travel back to Leh, taking in the changing landscapes on the return journey. Once back in Leh, you may have time for last-minute shopping or exploring any local sites you may have missed earlier. Enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant or your hotel, reflecting on the memorable experiences of your trip.

Day 10Departure from Leh

Depending on your flight schedule, you might have a bit of free time for some last-minute sightseeing or shopping. Transfer to Leh Airport for your departure, concluding your 10-day journey through the breathtaking landscapes and unique culture of Ladakh.
