Day 1Arrival in Cairo, Egypt

Arrive in Cairo and check into your hotel. Take some time to freshen up and rest. Begin your exploration with a visit to the Egyptian Museum to see the extensive collection of artifacts, including the treasures of Tutankhamun. Enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant, perhaps in the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar area, where you can experience traditional Egyptian cuisine and shop for souvenirs.

Day 2Cairo Exploration

Visit the Giza Plateau to see the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Explore the Pyramid of Khufu and learn about ancient Egyptian architecture. Visit the Sphinx Museum or the Solar Boat Museum, which houses an ancient boat found buried near the Great Pyramid. Enjoy a traditional Egyptian meal and consider attending the Sound and Light Show at the Giza Pyramids.

Day 3Cairo to Luxor

Travel to Luxor by flight (approximately 1 hour) or train (approximately 10 hours). Check into your hotel. Visit the Karnak Temple, one of the largest religious complexes in the world. Explore its impressive halls and pylons. Stroll along the Luxor Corniche, a picturesque riverside promenade, and have dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 4Luxor Exploration

Explore the Valley of the Kings, where you can visit several tombs of ancient Egyptian pharaohs, including Tutankhamun’s tomb. Also, visit the Temple of Hatshepsut. Visit the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, and the Medinet Habu Temple. Relax and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant or your hotel.

Day 5Luxor to Aswan

Travel to Aswan by train (approximately 3.5 hours) or flight (approximately 1 hour). Check into your hotel. Visit the Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, located on an island in Lake Nasser. Enjoy a traditional Nubian dinner and experience the local culture.

Day 6Aswan Exploration

Visit the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk, which offers insight into ancient Egyptian stone-working techniques. Take a felucca boat ride on the Nile to the Elephantine Island and explore the Nubian Museum. Relax and have dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 7Aswan to Amman, Jordan

Fly from Aswan to Amman, Jordan (typically via Cairo, as direct flights might not be available). Check into your hotel in Amman. Explore Amman’s Citadel, including the Temple of Hercules and the Umayyad Palace. Visit the Roman Theatre. Stroll through Rainbow Street and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 8Amman to Petra

Travel to Petra by private car or bus (approximately 3 hours). Check into your hotel in Petra. Begin exploring the ancient city of Petra, starting with the Siq, the narrow gorge leading to the Treasury. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant or your hotel.

Day 9Petra Exploration

Continue exploring Petra, including the Monastery (Ad Deir) and the Royal Tombs. Hike to the High Place of Sacrifice for panoramic views. Explore the Petra Archaeological Museum or take a leisurely stroll through the city’s lesser-known areas. Consider attending the Petra by Night tour if available, where the Treasury is illuminated by candles.

Day 10Petra to Wadi Rum

Travel to Wadi Rum (approximately 1.5 hours by car). Check into a desert camp. Take a 4×4 jeep tour through the stunning desert landscapes of Wadi Rum, exploring rock formations and ancient petroglyphs. Enjoy a traditional Bedouin dinner under the stars at your desert camp.

Day 11Wadi Rum to Dead Sea

Travel to the Dead Sea (approximately 4 hours by car). Check into your hotel. Relax and float in the buoyant waters of the Dead Sea, known for its high salt content and therapeutic properties. Enjoy a mud bath or spa treatment. Have a relaxing dinner at your hotel and enjoy the serene environment.

Day 12Departure from Amman
